Based in Ipswich, Missing Cats Anglia was founded to aid with the recovery of missing cats, collect data, liaise with agencies, offer advice, and campaign for changes in the law regarding cat welfare.
We fund and promote chipping events to encourage a better protection for cats, as well as highlight the importance of neutering. We have our own chip reader in the event a cat needs scanning to assess if owned.
We are not a charity although a charity application was made. We then decided we could resource far better by assisting registered welfare organisations, so we withdrew, but still raise money to help local rescues with vet treatment and after care of cats that are vulnerable or stray that come to our attention.
We also have an ongoing pledge towards a successful prosecution of culprits involved in crime against cats.
We have no facilities to offer rescue placements, and do not rehome cats.
